VOLCANIC ROUTES
From VILLAS SAL MARINA you can start one of the most beautiful walking routes in the area to discover the Calderón Hondo Volcano. Located on the right hand side of the road from Lajares to Majanicho, you will see a path that leads to the top of the volcano. From here, you will enjoy spectacular views of the North Shore, Corralejo and the island of Lanzarote.
You will discover a volcanic environment shaped by the wind and full of the characteristic “malpaís” (lava field). Wear good shoes for a walk of about an hour and a half. In addition, it is possible that you will meet the friendly squirrels that live around the volcano and that are totally harmless.
